June 11, 1962 The Limpus Family created the San Diego Pet Memorial Park to provide a living memorial to all companion animals. In this tradition, we maintain a beautiful burial park and cremation facility nestled in San Diego's Carroll Canyon. Protected under a canopy of ancient live old oak trees, the park has become a sanctuary for the many animals indigenous to San Diego. Deer, rabbits, quail, dove. Other wildlife sometimes can be seen while visiting the San Diego Pet Memorial Park.
In the early years of the park Bob and Dory Limpus wanted to create a day dedicated to honor the memories of pets buried or cremated here. As a result of their desire and energy on June 11, 1971 they founded the National Pet Remembrance Day.
October 31, 1990 John Sanborn and his mother Anne Jackie Lane purchased the San Diego Pet Memorial Park. We are proud to remain a family run business, continuing to take great pride in the understanding and care of our animal companions. We currently provide services to veterinaries throughout San Diego and North County areas.
